Adult film star Sophia Leone passed away after being discovered unresponsive in her New Mexico apartment on March 1, prompting a police investigation into her cause of death. She was 26 years old.

Her stepfather, Mike Romero, described her as a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend, emphasizing her deep love for animals and passion for bringing smiles to those around her. The Los Angeles-based modeling agency, 101 Modeling, indicated that Leone's death was under investigation as a potential robbery and homicide.

Romero also mentioned on her GoFundMe page the family's quest for justice. Brian Berke, who managed Leone's agency in Florida, expressed his deep sorrow over her passing, reminiscing about their close bond and the loss he feels.

Leone, born in Miami, entered the adult film industry in 2014 and appeared in over 80 films, earning admiration from colleagues like Gina Valentine and Valeri Casteele. Her death follows news of fellow porn star Emily Willis fighting for her life after being found unresponsive at a rehab facility in Malibu. Willis, 25, remains in a vegetative coma, with her family preparing for the worst despite her stabilized condition.
