In honor of the Paris Olympics, a French Riviera town is currently hosting an extraordinary display featuring colossal sculptures of athletes crafted from lemons and oranges.

Menton's renowned Lemon Festival, an eagerly anticipated annual affair, has taken on a special Olympic-themed twist this year.

The intricate creations, constructed from approximately 140 tonnes of citrus fruits, equivalent to nearly 500,000 individual pieces, adorn the floats and depict various sporting scenes and historical moments.

Anticipating a significant turnout, organizers are bracing for up to 200,000 attendees to partake in the festivities over the course of the two-week carnival-style celebration.
